Michigan Sea Grant Undergrad Environmental Internship - Sponsored Project Ideas Submission

Thank you for your interest in submitting a project for the MISG Undergrad Environmental Internship. Please fill out the questionnaire below.

Additional information about the internship can be found here. Any questions, concerns, or additional information can be sent to msgfellows@umich.edu.

Deadline: December 4, 2024 at 11:59PM EST

Michigan Sea Grant's undergraduate internship program coordinates and funds undergraduate students from any accredited community college, college, or university in Michigan to work with private businesses, local governments, state and federal agencies, and environmental non-profit organizations to plan or implement Great Lakes stewardship and research projects. Students can work with academic faculty if their project also involves strong partnership with an organization outside the school.

We will collect proposed projects and include them in our application guidance documents, which will be available to student applicants in early December. Potential interns interested in selecting your project will contact you to collaborate on their application materials before their January 31, 2025 application deadline. We anticipate funding five interns in 2025, so not all proposed projects will be selected for funding.

We value your time, so we've tried to make this as brief as possible. We will be in touch soon!

Will the supervision be in person or virtual?

Will the majority of the internship be done under supervision or alone?

Will this project include lifting any heavy objects?

Is the project primarily going to take place outdoors?

Will this project provide supplies needed to accomplish the tasks?

We require a 50% match (in-kind allowed). Can you meet this $5,000 match requirement?
